Spiritual Life
The university seeks to create an environment where Christian principles are encouraged and practiced.  Seventh-day Adventist Christian values govern the behavior of staff and students at Adventist University of West Africa.  Believing that Jesus is coming soon to bring eternal life to all who have accepted him as their Lord and Savior, Adventist University of West Africa community will consistently seek to foster and maintain a conducive atmosphere that enables growing fellowship with Jesus, and restore mankind’ broken relationship with God.

Having recognized that human nature is multidimensional – spiritual, physical, social and intellectual, AUWA aims at bringing all these dimensions into perfect harmony with Jesus. While no particular religious affiliation is required for acceptance, each student is expected to respect, support and be part of the religious programs of the institution which follow the SDA style practices and beliefs; to avoid religious crisis and cultism on campus and to ensure a conducive spiritual atmosphere.

Since corporate worship plays such a vital role in the spiritual health of the individual and the University, each student is required to fully avail him/herself of the many opportunities for spiritual enrichment and growth by active participation in religious activities.
